MY STORY

Art has always been a part of life for painter Stephen Grundy. He sees art as a means of expressing the experiences of life. His paintings are a colorful interpretation of the world around him.

Originally born in Manchester, England, Grundy studied various forms of art in college where he discovered a passion for painting. After graduating from art school he began to pursue a career as a professional artist. Grundy also had a passion for travel and visited many different countries around the world, expressing the sights and experiences of travel in his paintings.

For the last 20 years Grundy has made Colorado his home. He lives surrounded by the beautiful nature of the rocky mountains which is often featured in his paintings. His colorful art often depicts forests, mountains and wildlife from the area surrounding his mountain home. Other themes of his work are inspired by travel, often collaging maps and other travel items into the paintings. Grundy also likes to create artwork on reclaimed materials such as vintage windows and barnwood which gives the artwork a unique time worn appearance. 

The main impression that you get from looking at Grundy`s art is a joyful feeling for life through his use of vibrant colors and expressive layers of texture. As for the future, Grundy will continue to create his beautiful paintings that he sells to collectors both in the United States and around the world.
